Bristol After Stroke received a hugely generous donation from employees of engineering company MBDA (UK) Ltd based in Filton last week. After a year of cake sales, bike races and other competitions, and a Charity Christmas Ball, they raised over £6000 for two local Bristol charities - Bristol After Stroke and All-Aboard Watersports.
Bristol After Stroke's Chief Executive, Rebecca Sheehy, and Fundraising Officer, Emma Collier, went to Filton to collect the cheque for £3089 and meet the enthusiastic members of the Charity Committee. Emma says "Such a donation can go a long way towards supporting one of our Stroke Support Groups for a whole year".
