One of the most popular courses that BAS has run in recent years are our “ACTion after Stroke” sessions, created for people who are experiencing emotional or psychological challenges

Feelings of distress, frustration and anxiety are common, and can often continue for some timemaking people feel unable to get on with their lives.

You are invited to join our next session starting at the end of April!

Date:     Wednesday 30th April - Wednesday 4th June (weekly every Wednesday

Time:     1.00pm - 3.00pm

How can it help?

The course is based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).  It's about learning ways to manage thoughts, feelings and sensations.  ACT is also about committing to actions that will enrich your life.

ACT Information

You will not be asked anything about your personal circumstances or problems. A fifth session allows you to explore the issues raised and any personal feelings about them.

What does it cost?

  • The cost of this course is £25.00
  • However, we do not want someones' ability to pay to be a barrier to accessing support, so like all requests for contributions to our services, please let us know if this is a difficulty for you!
