If you care for someone who has had a stroke, and feel you need some advice or help... or just someone to talk to... we run carers' support sessions once a month, both online and in person.
Come and meet other carers to access social support, develop self-care skills and talk to stroke healthcare professionals to understand more about the impact of stroke – on the person you are caring for and on yourself.
Expert clinical psychologists are available to talk about issues such as fatigue, anxiety and how relationships can be affected.
You can be as involved as you like: you can come along and get stuck in – or just sit back and listen.
In person sessions are at Redcliffe Bay Hall, Newhaven Road, Portishead BS20 8LH, from 1 to 3pm on the third Wednesday of each month. To find out more or to attend, email [email protected] or call 01275 401042.
Online sessions are on Zoom between 10.30 and 12pm on the first Thursday of each month. To get details of how to log in, or to receive reminder emails, please contact: [email protected] or call 0117 9647657.
