Saturday 6 September 2025 will mark the third Bristol After Stroke annual charity walk - will YOU be joining us?
Not only is it now our biggest single fundraising event - last year a whopping £15,000 was contributed through sponsorships and entry fees – but it also the time when everyone involved with Bristol After Stroke can join in... and set their own personal challenges.
Wheelchair entries are welcome, and if you want to walk just a few yards or the whole six miles, that's up to you. It's open to children too, and you can even bring your dog – who will also receive a rosette for completing the course!
We also need lots of volunteers to marshall the course, dispense much-needed refreshments at the end and hand out finishers medals.
Last year there were many emotional scenes at the end as those taking part smashed their personal targets, and walked further than they had managed since having their stroke.
This year we hope to make it even bigger and better than last year, as well as adding a 3-mile course to the 1 and 6 mile ones, so if you think you'd like to take part (in any capacity!) put the date in your diary now. We'll be making more details available soon.
