QUALIFIED COUNSELLORS / STUDENT PLACEMENTS 2023
Bristol After Stroke provides a range of support to people who have had a stroke, as well as their carers (family members). Our small person-centred counselling service forms part of this wider support. We are looking for either:
a) qualified counsellors seeking to expand their experience, perhaps to gain accreditation hours, or
b) counselling students in training, seeking to gain hours towards qualifying.
In return for a minimum 12-month commitment we offer a formal induction and regular supervision with our Lead Counsellor (who has worked with this client group for over 7 years).
We cover an ethnically diverse population and welcome applications from people of BAME backgrounds.
“As a counselling volunteer with us you will be helping people regain confidence and build a new life after stroke. You could make a real difference to their lives”.
