For many stroke-affected people, coping with the psychological aftermath can be as challenging as dealing with the physical changes that occur.

The courses we run for stroke-affected people offer a way to accept things as they are.

They will provide you with ideas and techniques to help you deal with negative emotions, with an aim to support you in moving forwards with your life.

But taking the first step and making a commitment to go on a course, which is held over five weeks, can be daunting. Which is why we will be running a free online “appetiser session” on Thursday 3 April. It lasts 1.5 hours and will give you a taste of what’s involved in the full course… and whether it’s right for you!

If you then want to join the next in-person course, it starts at the end of April at Hengrove Leisure Centre.

Get in touch with the office for details on how to join the session!
